Melbourne’s Gypsy and The Cat have announced an all states tour to celebrate the release of their sophomore album ‘The Late Blue’.

The album which will be released on October 19 is the follow up to the critically acclaimed debut ‘Gilgamesh’ which cracked the charts in several European markets.

Gypsy And The Cat recently posted a video for the track ‘Sorry’ taken from the album, which you can watch below.

‘The Late Blue’ was produced, written and recorded entirely by the band and then mixed by Dave Fridman (MGMT, Flaming Lips, Tame Impala). “We’ve been listing to Talking Heads and Pink Floyd,” singer Xavier Bacash recently told the Telegraph. ” We spent a lot of time trying to forge a new sound. We’ve moved forward – to the ‘60s. The ‘80s thing has been washed away.” The band’s other member Lionel Towers, says that “There’s a little bit of world [music] influence in it. It’s definitely different to the first album in many ways – there’s lots more major chords … I think [on this album] we needed to do something a little more ‘left’ than the first album.”
