Chris Brown and Drake were  involved in a New York nightclub brawl last night – scroll down to watch video.

The respective entourages of the singer and rapper allegedly clashed at W.I.P and Brown received a cut to his chin.

New York police were called to the popular nightclub between 4am and 5am, where five people had sustained injuries from the brawl, although none are thought to be serious. No arrests were made but it is believed police are now investigating the altercation.

According to Global Grind, the fight began after Chris Brown sent a bottle over to Drake’s table. The Toronto rapper then approached Brown and started arguing over Rihanna, Brown’s ex-girlfriend who Drake also had a short relationship with.

Some believe Meek Mill may have instigated the fight, who was also in the  club hanging out with Drake. However after words were exchanged, Drake allegedly punched Chris Brown in the face, and hit him in the mouth with a bottle before he could  retaliate from the punch.

Additional eyewitness reports are saying that a member of Drake’s crew picked  up a bottle and hit Chris directly in the face with the bottle. This caused  bottles, glass cups, and metal containers to fly everywhere.

Brown later posted a picture of his gashed chin on Twitter along with a tirade of messages directed at Drake’s crew, but they have since been removed. However, Global Grind have obtained screenshots.

The website also suggests that the altercation was started by Rapper Meek Hill, who is friends with Drake. He later posted a cryptic message on Twitter that may be related to the fight.

He Tweeted:

“It wasn’t me…. (shaggy voice) lol”

New York party promoter Jessica Rosenblum tweeted Meek blaming him for the  whole thing.

“Really??? FU Meek Mills – u know how many fucking years we worked to have  fly hip hop shit in downtown NYC? GTFO if u don’t know how 2  hang”

Drake has denied his involvement in the fight, and said he was heading for the exits when the brawl broke out. A spokesman for the rapper told TMZ: “Drake did not participate in any wrong doing of any kind last night at W.I.P. He was on his way out when the altercation began.”
