Frances Bean Cobain has spoken out after her mother Courtney Love took to Twitter to suggest that Dave Grohl had tried to seduce her.
Love made the accusations earlier this week on her private Twitter account, saying that Grohl had “hit on Frances” and added that she wanted to shoot him as revenge.
In a statement released via Rolling Stone, the 19 year old Frances has said that nothing untoward happened with the Foo Fighters’ frontman, insisting she has “never been approached” by Grohl.
“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.”
Grohl, who played in Nirvana with Frances’ father Kurt Cobain, has also denied the accusations, saying in his own statement: “Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue.”
