The Temper Trap have posted the first track from their self-titled second album online and you can listen to it here.

The new track “Rabbit Hole’ along with the album was recorded in Los Angeles, with producer Tony Hoffer twiddling the knobs.

Hoffer has previously worked with M83, Beck and French rockers Pheonix.

TT guitarist Lorenzo Sillitto told NME last month that the group felt a “huge expectation from our label and fans to record another song as big as Sweet Disposition.”

Explaining the three year gap between their 2009 debut Conditions and this new album, Sillitto told NME: “Trying to write on tour just wasn’t conducive to our process; we needed to be in a quiet room with our instruments around us to get the juices flowing.”

‘The Temper Trap’ will be released on the 18th of May preceded the album’s first official single, ‘Need Your Love’.
